Monthly Newsletter (July 2010)

Hi readers,

I decided to put up a newsletter for this month. I would discuss on this current fares of 3 airlines in Malaysia.

Let's begin with Malaysia Airlines:With MAS's latest campaign, Everyday Value Fares, which reinforces the value MAS offer to customers when we travel with them, I see some increases in prices for domestic get-the-deal tickets. Of course, I was little bit unhappy, because I frequently travel with that price and it is cheaper (sometimes) and the price is fixed at certain period (good for last minute people), compared to Air Asia's time-sensitive, weight-sensitive and volatile price.

*my definition of last minute is around one month prior to take-off.

However, I still love MAS with medium/long haul. With my recent experience with MAS, I was satisfied and can't image how can I spend my time if I were in AirAsia X's flight. I was being served for several times on MAS. And with the humorous cabin crew are just a button away. Definitely, the in-flight entertainment allows me to catch up the latest movie that I have no time to watch on land.

Air Asia:
An airline that you can hate and like at the same time.

Penangnites who never been to Langkawi before can take the chance to fly there for RM25 (usually on Tue,Wed,Thus). The rest (Mon, Sun, Fri, Sat) fluctuate around RM44-RM60, without baggage.
Fly from/to Penang International Airport, Penang :
Domestic All-in-fare from
Langkawi RM 25.00

Please aware of Air Asia's System upgrade
