MAS makes Kota Kinabalu its Eastern Hub

Malaysia Airlines is making Kota Kinabalu its eastern hub to tap into major international destinations from the Far East to Australia.

MAS would operate 3 new non-stop weekly services to Haneda & 2 weekly non-stop flights to Osaka, Japan starting NOV 15, 2010 and Jan 15, 2011 respectively.
Other new direction flights to destinations in China, Indonesia and Australia would be announced later. In addition, he said MAS would also double its service to Seoul, South Korea, from 2 to 4 flights a week.

Kuching would have more access to these international destinations as flights connecting it to Kota Kinabalu are increased to 25 flights weekly from the current 14 flights by Malaysia Airlines.
